Two round marcasite gemstones expertly set in each simplistic hexagonal stud. These earrings have a post and butterfly back and are suitable for pierced ears only.
Gemstone Information
Marcasite rose in popularity during the Victorian Era, where it was favoured by Queen Victoria, who would wear Marcasite jewellery as a more affordable option to Diamonds.
Marcasite is sometime referred to as White Iron Pyrite, due to it's similar metallic appearance to the 'Fools Gold' Pyrite Mineral.
Marcasite jewellery has been found in many ancient Incan burial chambers, making it a gemstone steeped in history.
